Airaki is a medieval-situated tile-matching puzzle game with RPG elements for the Nintendo Game Boy and Game Boy Color.

The game was first released in 2014 along with a limited edition of physical cartridge. It took about 4 months to write in 100% assembly. Builds with WLA-DX.

Installation

The ROM file can be played using an emulator or on real hardware with a flashcart.

User guide

Work fast to beat all 8 bosses and become the champion. You must wisely choose 1 of 3 special skills that will help you in your journey. Time and efficiency scoring, no saves.

Play alone against different characters with an increasing level of difficulty, or battle against a friend in the 2-players link mode (Link cable required).

Controls

D-Pad - Cursor

A - Swap selected tiles

B - Change the orientation of the tile selector

Start - Pause/Resume
