Clockworks is an adaptation of the Rubik's Clock puzzle. It is a puzzle game where you move switches to set the red and blue clocks to 12 o'clock. Some changes have been made to the game and while rules are a bit complex, it offers a rewarding challenge.

User guide

Quick start

You'll quickly understand the rotation rules of the clock once you start playing.

In brief, using the B button, you toggle four switches (only the red ones since the red and blue are connected) between ON and OFF. Then, using the A button, you rotate the clocks around the ON switches (red clockwise, blue counterclockwise).

By repeating these actions, if you manage to set all red and blue clocks to 12 o'clock, you'll clear the game.

Game tutorial

On the game screen, there are nine red clocks on the left and nine blue clocks on the right. Four switches are placed between each clock. Note that a red clock flipped over becomes a blue clock (meaning they are symmetric with respect to the Y-axis).

The cursor is displayed on the switches of the red clocks. You can move the cursor with the D-Pad and use the B button to toggle the switches between ON and OFF. As mentioned earlier, the red and blue switches are connected, so when a red switch is ON, the corresponding blue switch is OFF.

Pressing the A button rotates the corresponding clock according to the state of the switch. Pressing A on an OFF switch rotates a corner piece, while pressing A on an ON switch rotates the four surrounding switches (if other switches are ON, their surrounding clocks will also move).

You will also notice the blue clocks' surroundings change based on the state of their corresponding switch. Furthermore, the red clocks rotate clockwise, while the blue clocks rotate counterclockwise.

Controls

B - Toggle four switches between ON and OFF

A - Rotate the clocks around the ON switches
