FUComplete is a modification and translation of 'Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G', which is the Japanese version of 'Monster Hunter Freedom Unite'. Its goal is to enhance the game by adding new features and achieving feature completeness, while preserving compatibility for crossplay with players using the original version. Remarkably, it operates not only on emulators, but also on actual hardware such as the PSP and Vita.

Features

  • The 38 events and 14 challenges are now built into the game. Savedata quest store limit has been raised to 18, up from 6.
  • The option to toggle Data Install now has a new function: It now allows switching between the integrated event quests and any custom quests added to savedata.
  • The option to toggle Background Loading now has a new function: It now switches File Replacer ON/OFF.
  • All Bonus DLC are enabled by default.
  • Easily switch between what region save to load. CONFIG
  • Auto equipment previews in shops enabled by default without the requirement of a data install.
  • Mod support via Modloader, allowing for things such as:
    • Configurable settings via the CONFIG.BIN.
    • File Replacer allowing loading of modded files from NATIVEPSP (think of it like nativePC from Monster Hunter World).
    • Can easily update/extend modloader code.
    • All data consolidated into its own mod savedata.
  • Able to buy in bulk to chest the Binoculars, Powercharm, Armorcharm and BBQ Spit. Useful for decoration crafting.

Quality of Life

  • Guildhall table now has a drink buff. - Can get a quick Health and Stamina boost without leaving the Guildhall, based on how many active Felyne Chefs you have working in your kitchen. Press Circle to activate while sitting at the table. CONFIG
    • For each active chef in your kitchen:

Receive +10 max Health (max +50 at 5 chefs)

    • Note mechanics work similar to Frontier, where notes only clear if you sheath your weapon or have a forced sheathed interaction.
    • Left and right swing MV/KO values increased to match P2/F2 values. 31 MV and 18 KO, up from 27 MV and 15 KO.

FAQ

Why use Portable 2nd G as a base and not Freedom Unite?
Due to issues with finding translators for the various languages and having memory limit issues, it was decided to move to Portable 2nd G as I didn’t have to worry about more than one language and I had significantly more memory to play with.

Does this work on a PSP/Vita or is this emulator only?
FUComplete is fully compatible with real hardware. As such there are no “emulator only” features.

Is this allowed on Hunsterverse?
Yes, it’s allowed.

What are the default settings of CONFIG.BIN?
Default settings are as follows:

File replacer: Disabled
Save Region: ULUS10391
True Raw/Ele/Stat: Disabled
Dos Audio: Disabled
Field of View: Default
Vert Cam Start Pos: Default
Minimap Scale: Default
HH Tweak: Disabled
Early Lao/Shen Kill: Disabled
Guildhall Full Chest (Offline): Disabled
Guildhall Drink Buff: Disabled
Copy

So I’ve updated my config, Where does CONFIG.BIN go?
Go to your SAVEDATA and locate the folder named FUCDAT, copy over and overwrite the old CONFIG.BIN with your updated one.

  .
  └───PSP
      └───SAVEDATA
          ├───FUCDAT
          │ └───CONFIG.BIN
          ├───ULES01213
          ├───ULUS10391
          └───ULJM05500

When I run the game on my PSP/Vita, village lags/runs slow… how do I fix this?
This implies you are on a Custom Firmware (CFW) on a PSP or running Adrenaline on a Vita.

Please set your CPU clock speed to 333/166 by pressing Select at VSH menu and changing the option CPU CLOCK GAME to 333/166.

Why do my quest files not show up on FUCTool?
Quest files must be either .mib or .pat and have to be decrypted.

Why do my injected quests not show up when switching back to unpatched?
Due to the reallocation of slots and encryption differences these will not show up under an unpatched game. You will have to use save tools or download them again for your region copy on a PSP.

Why do I get “Old savedata detected” on PPSSPP after adding/removing quests from save? Does it cause any problems?

  1. It won’t cause problems, once you save in-game the error message will go away.
  2. SED is used to handle the encryption side of things which seems to use an older method of save encryption.
