The Legend of Zelda: Mystery of Solarus DX, serves as a direct continuation of the storyline from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES. The game employs the same graphics and game mechanisms as its predecessor, and was the first game to be developed using the Solarus engine, which was primarily designed for this title.

Interestingly, Mystery of Solarus DX is actually an improved version of an earlier creation called Mystery of Solarus, which was developed using RPG Maker 2000 and released exclusively in French in 2002. The DX project was announced on April 1st, 2008, and aims to address several issues with the original game, such as the battle system, boss fights, and item usage. Additionally, new graphical elements and music have been added to enhance the gaming experience.

Whether you've played the original game before or not, the Deluxe version of Mystery of Solarus provides an opportunity to relive the adventure in a fresh and exciting way.
