The Game
In Hexxagon, players aim to take over as much of the board as possible against an opponent, either another player or the challenging CRANIAC. Represented by a light bulb, CRANIAC offers three difficulty levels, each with its own level of cunning and strategy.
On higher detail levels, players can see CRANIAC's thought process with flashing neon green and yellow paths. On the lowest detail level, CRANIAC counters immediately after a move.
Players can transform their opponent's pieces by entering the space next to them, with solid to liquid or liquid to solid changes accompanied by lightning or a frozen stream of ice particles, respectively.
Hexxagon offers a thrilling and visually engaging strategy game with plenty of opportunities for payback.
Moves
The objective of Hexxagon is to take over as much of the board as possible by maneuvering your game pieces. There are two options for movement: you can either move one space and duplicate your piece into that spot or move two spaces without duplication.
To make a move, select your piece and Hexxagon will display all possible options, indicated by green or yellow neon outlines. Only unoccupied spaces that are one or two spaces away can be moved to. When your piece lands next to your opponent's piece, there will be a celebratory animation.
