txtEd is a native Wii text editor that allows users to easily create and edit text files in a simple mode. This editor is lightweight and easy to use, making it an ideal tool for editing text files on the Wii console.

Specifications

txtEd is capable of opening any file under 1mb for text editing. It has a maximum line size limit of 128 characters for the input file.

Usage

Point at file name or directory; click A to select, or press HOME to exit
With file open point and click keyboard to add character after cursor.
Press 1 for Caps Lock, B will delete character directly after cursor, and Home exits.
Navigation(dpad): RIGHT moves cursor forward fast. LEFT moves cursor back one space. DOWN advances screen one page. UP returns to start of file.
Exit menu: press HOME to exit, A to save changes, or B to return to editing.
