Gameplay
The goal of the game is to explore the Cavern of Doom and battle monsters while searching for the Amulet of Yendor somewhere deeper than the 25th floor below ground and bringing it back to the surface.
Each floor of the cavern, which runs deep underground, has several rooms and passages that connect them.
Each floor of the cave is connected by a single staircase on each floor. At first, you don't know where these rooms and corridors are. It is up to you to explore what is where.
You must go down to the basement by the stairs while looking around each floor. By the way, the map of each floor is different for each game, so it's pointless to write it down.
Monsters roam the rooms and corridors waiting to kill you. There are many different types of monsters, each attacking in a different way. You must gain experience and become stronger while battling these monsters through combat commands.
In addition, various items can be found in the rooms and passages. There are gold nuggets that directly affect the score of the game, food necessary to continue the game, and other magical items.
These items can be picked up and placed in a bag that you carry. By making good use of this item, you can gain an advantage in fighting monsters.
