BridgeRacer is an LCD (Game & Watch style) game for the GBA in 2 colours, with an oldskool intro that is also in 2 colours.
It was submitted to the PDRoms Coding Competition #2.5.
User guide
When choosing game type, the hiscore for that game will be displayed in the score area at the top right of the screen.
Your lives are shown in the centre top of the screen. You start with four lives. 3 in reserve as shown at the top.
Game A:
- Avoid a head on collision against all cars.
- Cars will stick to their lane for the length of the play area.
- Every baddie move down the screen will earn you 1 point.
- If you are adjacent to a car when you pass it your will get a bonus of 5 points.
- The speed will gradually increase.
Game B:
- Avoid a collision against all cars, either head on, or from the sides.
- Cars will move to aim for you.
- Every baddie move down the screen will earn you 1 point.
- Every car you manage to get past will score you an additional 5 points.
- The speed will gradually increase.
Controls
Start - Advance, Start game
Select - Toggle Game A/Game B
Left/Right/L/R - Move your car (in game)
