Polygun Wars is a clone of Geometry Wars appeared on Xbox in 2005. It is a multi-directional shooter developed by ahrimanes, with C++ using JGE++ libreries.

It was one of the contest entries for the Neo Spring Coding Compo 2008 (PSP Games, 2nd place); Neo Summer Coding Compo 2008 (PSP Games, 2nd place); also participated in the Scenery Beta 2008 (PSP Games, 1st place).

Controls

D-Pad - Movement

Triangle - Shoot upwards

Cross - Shoot downwards

Circle - Shoot to the right

Square - Shoot to the left

Triangle/Cross/Circle/Square - Diagonal shots*

L - Drop bomb

Start - Exit or Start game

Note: Combine the fire keys to make diagonal shots*.

  • Fixed a small bug when recovering the maximum scores.

  • You can now see the player's nationality on the score tables.
  • When you get a new score you will not have to select your profile again (Autosave).

  • The native PSP dialogs have been integrated (message, net, save/load dialogs).
  • Save your profile or gamertag as in 360.

  • Support for multiple languages, there is a polygunwars/res/lng folder where you will find files with an lng extension that you can edit in any simple text editor and translate into your language.
