Resource Block is a plugin that aims to speed up loading time and reduce the file size of your Savedata.
Developed by neur0n, the plugin blocks the writing of the icon images and thumbnails of the save files when you are saving game progress.
Installation
Copy resource_block.prx to ms0:/seplugins/ (for PSP) or ef0:/seplugins/ (for PSP Go).
Open game.txt and pops.txt in the same seplugins folder, then add either one of the following line in respective to your device.
For PSP, append this line to the text files
ms0:/seplugins/passlock.prx 1
For PSP Go, add this line instead
ef0:/seplugins/passlock.prx 1
Note: To quickly remove all of the savedata resource files to save some space before installing the plugin, copy resource_cleaner.bat on the root of your Memory Stick or internal memory and double click on it (Windows PC only). Once completed, you can delete the bat file also.
User guide
Everytime you perform a save operation to /PSP/SAVEDATA/, this plugin will block the writing of the following resources:
PIC0.PNG PIC1.PNG ICON0.PNG ICON1.PMF SND0.AT3
Savedata without resources can be loaded with no issues.
