A homebrew project developed to explore the basic framework of a card-based area control tactics game.
This was made as an entry to the GBA Winter Jam '23. Everything was made by the author within the duration of the jam with the exception of shiru8bit's Jelly font for "Press Start".
Features
- An "awesome" and "animated" title screen.
- Card selection / hand management.
- Unit and effect cards.
- Unit movement, and attacks.
- Changeable terrain.
- Music and Sound by the author (brass quintets anyone?)
User guide
Several interaction elements have been implemented within the game to showcase the gameplay mechanics.
Game concept: Different factions are fighting for control over territory, essentially terraforming to their favored terrain type Rather than directly attacking each other. The terrain would affect how creatures move or are placed, and a winner would be determined based on territory owned after a set amount of time.

Start - Start the game
A - Select things
B - Go back
L/R - Switch between selections
