CavEX is a homebrew port of Minecraft beta version 1.7.3 to run on the Nintendo Wii.

The project has made significant progress since the last video update, it is now possible to load any Minecraft beta world in MCRegion format, with plans to add the ability to save worlds soon. Similar to the original game, the worlds have no size limitation and are considered "infinite". The game currently has around 90% of all blocks implemented, with only some redstone-related blocks missing, and some items have been added as well, although none of them have game logic behind them yet.

The game also features a day-night cycle with sun and moon, and blocks update lighting when placed or destroyed, such as a torch in a cave.
