The Zen Kernel is a collaboration of kernel developers aiming to deliver the optimal Linux kernel for daily use. It features code not found in the mainline kernel, enhancing performance and hardware support for desktop systems.

In order to run this you need a way to boot the kernel through IOS or mini and a good SD(HC) card.

Modular kernel (kernel image + modules).
GC/Wii IOS/mini support (from gc-linux project, ported to latest kernel tree).
BFS CPU scheduler.
BFQ I/O scheduler.
Tiny RCU support.
Compcache support.
Ext2/3/4 support.
Reiserfs support.
Reiser4 support.
Btrfs support.
Zen logo included.
And many other features.
