The Monster Hunter Tri Weapon Editor allows players to make modifications to their "Monster Hunter Tri" game and then patch those changes into their ISO file.

Features

  • You can change how much money you start a new game with.
  • Can change the price you pay for some of the weapons.
  • Allows you to adjust how much damage some of the weapons will cause. Can make them weaker or stronger. If you set them to the maximum amount, they will be one of the strongest weapons in the game.
  • Can adjust how much defense some of the weapons have.
  • Lets you adjust how much affinity some of the weapons have. This determines your chances of getting a critical hit.
  • There are some handy buttons that will show you information to help you decide what values to use, like the normal/default amounts, maximum amounts, and the values that are currently in the iso file (this is handy if you’ve made previous adjustments with the editor, but forgot what they were).
  • There’s a Help button that should answer any questions. Readme file is also included.
  • Works on the USA version. Game ID is: RMHE08. CRC32 is: 46848F76. Editor checks to make sure you have the correct file, and won’t let you open the wrong one.
  • You can easily return your iso file to it’s original/unmodified state by simply opening your iso in the editor again, setting your starting money to 1500, clicking on all 4 of the “Show normal amount” buttons, click the Patch button and you’re all set.

Usage

This editor will let you customize some of the weapons in your Monster Hunter Tri Wii game and will patch the changes into your ISO/ROM. You can also adjust how much money you start a new game with.

Will only work on the USA version of the game (Game ID = RMHE08). This is the exact iso I used: Monster Hunter Tri (USA).nkit.iso. CRC32 is: 46848F76. Program checks to make sure you have the correct file, and won't let you open the wrong one.

The game must be in .iso format. wbfs type files will not work. I think there are programs that can convert a wbfs file to an iso.

Your patched ISO will work fine on a new game, or with any in-game save files. Any changes will probably not work on most pre-existing emulator save states, although any new emulator save states will carry over any changes already made. In short, it's best to use the in-game saves.

Has only been tested with Dolphin on a PC.

There are Help and Info buttons in the editor that should answer any questions.

It will not make a copy of the original, so make your own copy if you want one before you patch it.

You can easily return your iso file to it's original/unmodified state by opening it up with the editor again and clicking on all of the "Show normal amount" buttons, then click on the Patch button and you're all set.

Shouldn't need any additional files if you're using Windows (uses the .net framework).
