VitaMote is a mod of Viimode that fixes 2 issues while playing GTA with a Wii classic controller:
- Using a Japanese layout.
- ZL and ZR changes the volume, not acted as L2/R2.
Features
- US/EU button layout - X and O buttons are correctly mapped for non-Japanese systems.
- L2/R2 support - ZL and ZR are mapped to L2 and R2.
- Replace volume up/down with LTRIGGER and RTRIGGER.
Installation
Install by copying to ux0:tai/ and adding this to ux0:tai/config.txt
*KERNEL ux0:tai/viimote.skprx
Then power off and power on, and set Wiimote up.
User guide
First time using it (aka pairing):
- Go to Setting > Devices > Bluetooth Devices
- Press 1+2 (SYNC won't work) on the Wiimote during 2 seconds
- The Wiimote will pair and connect automatically (don't press over it when it appears)
Once paired, simply need to press any button (instead of pressing 1+2) to connect it to the Vita.
Known issues
Sometimes the mote connects but does not work, it seems you have to let it connect then wait a few sections before pressing any buttons, if it doesn't work, in bluetooth settings, disconnect the wii mote, wait a few seconds, then press a button on the wii mote again. Eventually it will work.
While up/down on the left joystick doesn't seem to move the view up or down and up/down on the right joystick seems to be inverted, these can simply be changed from GTA's settings.
