MineBoyAdvance is a 2D voxel game inspired by Minecraft with "infinite" random terrain. Built from 3DSage's GBA template.

This game was submitted to the GBA Jam 2022.

User guide

Chunks only save if you break/place 3 blocks or place a special block.

Controls

D-Pad - Move/Break/Place

A - Go into Place Mode

B - Go into Break Mode

R - Aim Down (to Place and Break blocks at Ground Level with Left or Right Keys)

L - Aim Up (to Place and Break blocks at Eye Level with Left or Right Keys)

Start - Shift selected Inventory slot to the right

Select - Shift selected Inventory slot to the left

Hold A+Start+Select for 3s - A New Random World will be generated on restart (the first world generated is always the same)

Compatibility

Works on emulator (tested with mGBA).

2022/12/02

  • I did fix some bugs in the port that I missed in the GBA version and the world saves are now 977kB instead of 32kB.
  • Also, instead of a max number of enemies of 6 it is now 8.
