Resizing the screen caused the enemies to look a little weird on the first stage (when they start moving faster its not bad). This was on an HDTV so I'm not sure about how it will look on an SD.

xTeeterTorture is a port of Teeter Torture by Bill Kendrick's New Breed Software.[1]

User guide

Teeter Torture is a simple shooting game (similar to Space Invaders, Galaga or Galaxian), but with a unique twist.

Your cannon is sitting atop a teeter totter. If it leans too far in either direction, a barrel of TNT explodes.

Controls

In game:

D-Pad/Left-Stick - Movement

B - Cannon fire

R/L - Music volume up/down

Right-Stick - Screen resizer

Back - Quit game and return to main menu

Menu:

D-Pad - Cycle title, Game info, High score

Right-Stick Thumb - Screen resizer

Back - Boot to dash

Any other button - Start game

Screen resizer:

Thumbsticks - Screen movement and Stretching

A - Return to game/main menu

Known issues

Resizing the screen caused the enemies to look a little weird on the first stage (when they start moving faster its not bad). This was on an HDTV so not sure about how it will look on an SD.

Changelog

V1.0

  • Added sound effects (original game had none).
  • Added music (original game had none).
  • Added player high score to score screen.
  • Added screen resizer.
  • Added Xbox save images to the save files.

Credits

Thanks:

  • Lantus for porting SDL, Hyper_Eye for updating it, and Bill Kendrick for making the original game.
  • All the staff at EmuXtras.Net for sticking around and keeping the site active, as well as the ever growing user-base we have there.
  • Madmab, freakdave and Hyper_Eye for trying to help me with the graphics glicth and MegaMan(?) for making all those SNES videos.
