R4crypt is a program that you can use to encrypt and decrypt the DAT files from the R4DS file system as well as from M3 Simply. It operates through the windows command console and allows you to examine and edit DAT files, including _DS_MENU.DAT and CHEAT.DAT.

You can create a folder in the root of the hard disk to save typing long paths. such as E:\R4crypt.


The way it works is simple from the command console windows. And basically serves to edit the menu _DS_MENU.DAT kernel R4DS and M3 Simply CHEAT.DAT also file containing the tricks.  
Click Start, select the Run option and in the pop-up window, type "CMD" and enter. The command console will then appear.

This includes _DS_MENU.DAT and CHEAT.DAT. User can completely replace the menu if you want to, or examine what's really in those DAT files.  


Create a folder in the root of the hard drive to save typing long paths. such as E:\R4crypt.
Type "E:" to go to the drive where the program was and type "cd R4crypt" select the folder. Use the following commands to encrypt or decrypt files DAT.


To run the command just have to click on Start, select Run, and in the new window, type CMD and click on OK. Once accepted the command would appear.
To decrypt:
r4crypt.exe -d _DS_MENU.DAT destination.DAT

To encrypt:
r4crypt.exe -e destination.DAT _DS_MENU.DAT


Typed the E: to go to the drive where the program saved and select the folder. Use the following commands to encrypt or decrypt files DAT.

r4crypt.exe-d _DS_MENU.DAT destino.DAT (To decrypt)
Once a DAT file has been decrypted, you can modify it with any hex editor. Or completely replace the menu if you want to.
_DS_MENU.DAT destino.DAT r4crypt.exe-e (for encryption)

Being destino.DAT file we want to modify or generate. Once decrypted a DAT file user can edit with any hex editor.
