Sonymon is a 2D homebrew inspired by the Pokemon franchise. You can roams in an open world, battle trainers, find new sonymon, and unlock secrets.

The homebrew was part of the PSP Homebrew Game Competition 2013.

Installation

Place the SONYMON folder in ms0:/PSP/GAME/.

User guide

Game modes:

  • Story mode - You witnesses the creation of "Sonymon" and struggles to fix the mess they cause.
  • Free roam - Explore the area, collect items, unlock secrets, while battling and finding new Sonymon.

Beware for the legendary Sonymon Chaos. There is a small chance you’ll see this Sonymon in wild.

Known issues

  • Sometimes player name corrupts itself.
  • Some moves do not yet have animation.
  • Wild fanz attacks without warning.
  • When fighting Trainer V@ughn in the game the AI freezes.
