Andriod 2 Advance (A2A) is a remake for the GBA of the 1983 Spectrum classic ANDROID 2. It is an arcade shooter originally written for the ZX SPECTRUM by Costa Panayi and published by VORTEX software.

It was participated in the GBAX 2004 Coding Competition.

User guide

Your mission is to destroy five Millitoids (large worm-like creatures) in each of the following zone:

  • The Maze of Death.
  • The Paradox Zone.
  • The Flatlands.

Android 2 will be transported to each of these zones in turn where he must destroy the five Millitoids before returning to the original transporter capsule to travel to the next zone. The Millitoids are destroyed with three shots to the head.

Android 2 must act quickly as the transporter capsule will leave after a short period of time. If you completed the Millitod assigment you will be immediately awarded a new and more hazzardous mission.

Note: There is an undocumented secret in the game, at the title screen press L+R+Select to view the original Spectrum cassette inlay artwork.
