Simple IOS Patcher is an updated version of the [https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Signing_bug Trucha Bug] Restorers, with its functions simplified and fixed. It is designed to patch the IOS of the Wii, enabling the use of current Homebrew Channels.

It only requires the HW_AHBPROT flag to be set and also works on the Wii's system menu 4.3. It supports IOS36, IOS60, IOS70 and IOS80.

Copy the sip folder to the apps folder.
 
It also requires the IOS file IOS36-64-v3351.wad. If you have your Wii connected to the internet the application will download it for you and then patch it.
 
Otherwise, you can download the file with [[NUS Downloader Wii|NUS Downloader]] and place it to SD:\IOS36-64-v3351.wad.

Simple IOS Patcher is an updated version of the Trucha Bug Restorers, with its functions simplified and fixed. It is designed to patch the IOS of the Wii, enabling the use of current Homebrew Channels.

It only requires the HW_AHBPROT flag to be set and also works on the Wii's system menu 4.3. It supports IOS36, IOS60, IOS70 and IOS80.

Installation

Copy the sip folder to the apps folder.

It also requires the IOS file IOS36-64-v3351.wad. If you have your Wii connected to the internet the application will download it for you and then patch it.

Otherwise, you can download the file with NUS Downloader and place it to SD:\IOS36-64-v3351.wad.

User guide

Launch Simple IOS Patcher from the Homebrew Channel.

  • Select which IOS to patch: <IOS 36>
  • <Install patched IOS36>
  • Install IOS to Slot: 36
    • Patch hash check (trucha): yes
    • Patch ES_Identify: yes
    • Patch nand permissions: yes
    • Patch version check: yes
    • Patch ES_set_AHBPROT: yes
  • <Download IOS from NUS> (choose this if your Wii is connected to the internet)
  • <Load IOS from sd card> (choose this if your Wii is not connected to the internet)

Wait for the application to Patch the IOS (this may take several minutes).

Press B to exit.
