TimeBatteryPercent is a plugin for PSP. It allows you to show the percentage of available battery energy left, directly next to the battery icon.

It was presented at ITA's Winter Developers Contest (App).

Installation

Create a seplugins folder in the root directory of the Memory Stick (where the PSP folder is located). Note you do not need to create one if you have already had it.

Copy TimeBattery.prx and TimeBatteryPercent_config.ini and paste them to the seplugins folder created earlier.

Then create a text document named VSH in the seplugins folder. Note you do not need to creat it if you have already had the file.

Modify the vsh.txt, write the following line then save

ms0:/seplugins/TimeBatteryPersent.prx 1

Note: If you have an existing vsh.txt, simply edit the file add it as a new line.

User guide

Initial setup

Turn on the PSP while pressing R-Trigger to start recovery mode.

Select plugins, press Cross on TimeBatteryPersent.prx [VSH] to enable the plugin from Disabled to Enabled.

Go to Date and Time Settings on your PSP, and change the Display Date Format to Day/Month/Year.

Restart your PSP and the battery level should appear on top of the screen.

Configurate XMB display

Open TimeBatteryPercent_config.ini from the seplugins folder.

From there you can make changes of what information to be shown (YES/NO as to show/hide).

You can also change the display of the name for the day, week and month.

Compatibility

Compatible with all Custom Firmwares from 5.00M33.

Changelog

Version 3.1

  • Fixed launching games and homebrews with cxmb activated.

Version 3.0

  • TimeBatteryPercent is now compatible with all Custom Firmwares from 5.00M33.
  • Now my plugin patches 12H, 24H clock format of YYYY/MM/DD and MM/DD/YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY date format.
  • Fixed "343%" bug.
  • Fixed "22:-23)" bug.
  • Now when battery isn't inserted you must show "??" and anymore the big negative number (-2....).
  • Now, TimeBatteryPercent removes superfluous caracters like space when there are double spaces or ':' when you choice to don't show both hour and minutes or '/' when you choice to don't show both day and month. So display in XMB is more clean now.
  • Information's display was improved and now it's more dynamic and faster.

Version 2.0

  • Added compatibilities with 5.00, 5.02, 5.03 and 5.50 CFW (for 5.02 and 5.03 was untested but should work).
  • Added configuration file (TimeBatteryPercent_config.ini): you can configure. TimeBatterPercent like you want. Indeed tou are now able to:
    • Show or not: hour, minute, year, month, day, battery time left (in parentheses), battery percentage, cpu/bus clock frequency.
    • Choose date format (YYYY/MM/DD or MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY).
    • Choose hour format (12 hour or 24 hour clock format).
    • Choose to display string date format (like November 24 Thursday for example) or not (like 24/11).
    • Write what you want under clock and date information (if you want to write something go to the configuration file and in front of "writrewhatyouwant" write what you want, else you can write nothing if you want.
    • PS: in the configuration file, you must write only NO if you didn't want to sohw something, YES if you want to show something and in front of "dateformat" you can only write YYYY/MM/DD or DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY to modify date format and in front of "hourformat" you can only write 12H or 24H.
  • Fixed Percentage bug after suspend.
    • PS: If you want to display plugin you must choose DD/MM/YYYY date format (clock format is not important) in XMB.
