AgenaWorld is a classic space shooting game similar to the Homeworld PC game with its own unique features. This program was compiled using GNU GCC compiler.
It was one of the contest entries for the NEO Spring Coding Compo 2008 (PSP Game) and NEO Spring Coding Compo 2009 (PSP Game).
Features
- Mission objective.
- Supports multiplayer (PSP to PSP) via infrared.
- Customizable background.
- Customizable music and more.

User guide
Storyline
In the near future, you captain a spaceship with extra-ordinary technology. Powered by nuclear fusion and fission generators and supported by ion micro-thrusters and gyroscopes, your ship can support long-term journeys. After a long travel in hybernation across the deep space, you come across the Juniper Belt and discover a mysterious asteroid surrounded by many "hypercubes".
They are alien in origination, but one thing is known, when your ship touches one of the cubes, a gravitation assist field is generated around your ship. Firing an EMP afterwards, activates the field and your ship is slingshot at great velocity towards a destination pre-allocated by the respective cube touched.
It is year 2492, the year that all nine planets are lined up end to end from the sun to pluto. With the help of the cubes, you are able to travel to distant galaxies, nebulas, and even all nine planets in the solar system, overcoming the laws of relativity.
Gameplay
You begin from the Earth, and the goal is to reach different galaxies by visiting the purple markers (via hypercubes) that appear on your radar.
To fire an EMP and activate the hypercube, when your ship is touching a spacegate cube.
Customization
You can have your own music playing in the background instead of the default songs, simply convert them to wave files (WAV formats) and make sure they are stereo channel and 16 bit, while the bitrate can vary.
Note that the program won't load the song if it is too big in size, so convert it to the lowest bitrate possible and work your way up to a higher bitrate testing to see if it loads in the game. The files music1.wav, music2.wav, music3.wav and music4.wav are the song files. The rest are sound effects.
It is also possible to have your own pictures in the background. Take any picture and save it as a bitmap file in 32bit-XRGB format. Note that you need to flip your picture vertically before you save, as the pixel lines are stored in reverse.
