Nazi Zombies: Portable is a Call of Duty: Zombies "de-make" powered by various enhanced forks of the Quake engine, in development since 2009.

Nazi Zombies: Portable (known as NZ:P) is a modification of Quake, developed by id software, made for the PSP system. NZ:P is a remake of the classic zombie mode from the Call of Duty series, and is an attempt to recreate the experience on your handheld device.
The game itself is feature-equivalent with Call of Duty: World at War on a generic level. Gameplay components are implemented with minor parity differences. Most World at War maps and their unique features are not yet represented. Various small additions and changes from Call of Duty: Black Ops are present as a means of gameplay smoothing, but not on a wide scale. NZ:P is, first and foremost, a Call of Duty: World at War remake.

This homebrew is a zombie survival shooter made by NZ:P Team (from The Broken Line Studios) and its main focus is the World at War portion in this beta version. It is available for PlayStation Portable and any Windows machine.
It was presented in the PSP Genesis Competition 2011 (Games, Talk Audience Vote winner).

The objective is to survive from the waves of zombies for long as possible, gain points to purchase powerful weapons, unlock new areas, upgrade your weapons, and purchase perks so you can survive more easily.

Currently, the two most powerful weapons within the game are the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and the Ray Gun, both capable of dealing huge amounts of damage on zombies.

You start out at Round 1, where few zombies will come. After you kill the full wave of zombies, it will switch off to Round 2 where more zombies will come.

The longer you survive, the harder it gets.

You get points for rebuilding barricades, damaging zombies, knifing zombies, etc.

The points can then be used to open doors, buy perks, buy weapons off the walls, and use the Mystery Box.
Note that while the above video is demonstrating the [[NZP_Reboot_Switch|Nintendo Switch version]] of the game, all features present here are also contained in the PlayStation Portable builds.

The Mystery Box is a box where you pay 950 points in exchange for a random weapon, it ranges from a pistol to a killing machine.

'''Q. Do I need to have a psp with custom firmware to be able to play this?'''

No, a signed eboot.pbp is provided that NZ:P can be played on any PSP out there.
'''GFX:'''

'''Q. Does this work on the PS Vita?'''

It should if you can find a way to run it on the PSV.

However it will only work on the psp emulator, so some of the features of the Vita will not be supported.

There is no native Vita support in future plans.

'''Q. Are custom maps supported?'''

Absolutely. Custom maps are one of Quake's biggest draws and we love them too.

Full on tutorials showcasing how to use new features and fgd's will be released as soon as they are ready.

Head over to [http://nzportable.forumotion.com the forum] for more info.

'''Q. What took you so long?'''

College has demanded a lot of attention from the developers, and the drastically different timezones for the developers makes casual communication difficult.

But the determination to finish NZ:P has not faded.
