BOUH! (French) is a prank homebrew written in Lua that pretends to brick the console.

Installation

Copy the bouh! directory to ms0:/PSP/GAME/.

To change the message and color:

  • Go to the homebrew folder.
  • Open script.lua with a text editor like Notepad.
  • You will see messageintro and messageErreur; modify them as you wish.

Changelog

Final

  • Customizable error message.
  • A return message to the XMB will now display; you should see the XMB's reaction!
  • Once in the XMB, no matter which button is pressed, an "[Internal Error]" message will appear. All my friends with a PSP were freaked out.
  • After a certain time, the screen turns black, and when buttons are pressed, the error screen reappears.
  • Little brothers will try to put the PSP in sleep mode and wake it up; too bad—the black screen will still be there, requiring a hard reboot.
