Performance tips
When a game runs slowly, try the following adjustments.
Increase CPU Frequency:
- Open the menu, navigate to "Other" and adjust the "CPU frequency" from the default setting of 2 up to 4. Increasing the CPU frequency can improve performance but will consume more battery.
Adjust Frame Skip:
- Open the menu, go to "Video/Audio" and find the "Frame skip" option. The DSTWO GBA emulator has up to 9 frame skip settings, with the default being 2. For certain games, such as fighting games, increasing the frame skip may help. Conversely, increasing the number of frames can speed up the game pace.
Fast-Forward
In the "Video/Audio" settings, enable "Fast-forward the game" to increase game speed by up to 10 times.
Note that sound will be disabled during fast-forwarding.
The Sands of Time
This feature allows you to rewind the game by 10 seconds.
Hold L + Y to activate and adjust the rewind duration if needed.
Using cheat codes
Copy the *.cht cheat code file into the \NDSGBA\gamecht folder.
Press "X" in the game and select "Cheats."
Choose "LOAD CHEAT FILE" and open the desired .cht file. After loading, you can modify cheat codes using D-Pad.
