Numbers Minds is a port of a number guessing game originally created on the Amstrad Cpc in 1994 by Kukulcan.

It was selected among 50 other homebrews for Datel's Design a Game Competition.

User guide

The goal of the game is to find a random number between 00000 and 99999 in a limited number of moves, the machine will tell you if the number entered is too big or too small.

There are 3 levels of difficulty:

  • Easy - 24 tries maximum.
  • Medium - 16 trials maximum.
  • Hard - 12 tries maximum.

Changelog

2007/03/03

  • Creation of an icon for the game, I would like to thank the site WWW.DS-XTREME.COM for the linker, it really motivated me for the creation of the icons.
  • Rewrite of the game engine (since it was my first homebrew on DS I had programmed it very badly).
  • R button: Music on/off.
  • Transition effect.
  • Sound effects change (lost, won).
  • Fixed crackle in applause (Thanks J-War WWW.FURYKANE.COM).
  • Changed some graphics for the game.
  • And especially much lighter homebrew.
  • No backup system.
