Duyumania is a DS homebrew brain teaser platformer. It is available in English, Français (French) and Español (Spanish). The language displayed will depend on the language you have selected in the system settings.

Preview version was presented in the NEO Retro Coding Compo 2010 (Game, 1st place). It was also submitted to the Scenery Beta 2010 (NDS Games, 1st place).

Installation

Download and extract file.

DLDI patch it and copy it to the root directory of the card.

User guide

Once upon a time, at the begining of the world, there wasn't night, during the day The Sun shone and in the sunset so did The Stars.

Santa Claus lived in a cabin in the middle of the forest with their elves, called Duyus, and all of them keep protected The Spirit of Christmas that gave light to The Stars. One day, Santa went to fishing, and The Moon, dying of envy for not being able to shine in the sky, decided to steal Christmas and replace The Stars.

To make sure that nobody was able to found them again she hide them around the world. When Santa returned home he stared horrorized that not only the Spirit of Christmas had been stolen, but whithout the light of The Stars the Duyus turned into little blocks.

When Santa saw this, he knew that he needed to do something. He decided to battle The Moon and his evil minions to return The Spirit of Christmas.

Can Santa defeat The Moon, release the Duyus from his curse, and rescue The Spirit of Christmas? It's all up to you and Santa's skill. Go for it!

Saving

If a stage is cleared, the progress of the game, and score for that stage will be saved automatically in the Save Slot.

You can delete the data in the slot by selecting Erase All Data at the Title Screen. And after selecting and restarting a save slot you will play from the Start.

This game has a save function to record the progress of the game on the SD card of your flashcard. Avoid deleting the game save (Duyumania.dsv) on the SD Card or data may be lost.

Controls

Basic:

D-Pad - Move Santa

Start/X/Y - Start, Pause

Stylus or L/R - Enter puzzle mode

Select - Change music

A/B - Make Santa jump

Puzzle mode:

D-Pad - Scroll the map view

L - Confirm the current Duyus and close

R - Cancel and close

A/Y - Scroll map view to right/left

Stylus - Touch box to put/erase a Duyu, Scroll the map view

Selection Screen:

D-Pad - Move the cursor

Start/A - Enter

Select - Change selection

B - Cancel

Stylus - Navigate
