This is a small multi-layer scrolling demo created based on Stage 1 of the PC engine version of Dracula X, a game set four years before Castlevania Symphony of the Night for PSX/Saturn.
The background tiles, especially the clouds, are based on the PC Engine version of Dracula X, and they were drawn dot by dot while referencing real screenshots of the game. The character design is original, featuring a Super Deformed (SD) style.
Also included are some one-screen intro shot demos that were originally intended for a Game Boy Color conversion project:
- richter.zip - Richter demo (CGB only).
- forest.zip - Prologue demo (CGB only).
- town.zip - Castlevania2 style town background demo.
