SXOS is the Custom Firmware that ships with Team Xecuter's SX mod chips for the Nintendo Switch. There have been claims that SXOS reuses codes that are readily available in other homebrews such as Atmosphere (an open source, and free Custom Firmware for the Switch). However, there are users who appreciate SXOS's simplicity and its exclusive functionalities, such as the capability to mount XCI games without needing to install them.

Ever since Team Xecuter members' arrests, there have been no updates on their software or website.

In 2021, a hack for the custom firmware was discovered by Reacher17, making it possible to run the now defunct software even if you do not own a license.
