Created by Taiwan's Softstar Entertainment Inc, the game is considered by many as simply one of the best Chinese RPG ever created. Since its first release in 1995 (DOS Version), many new versions and sequels (including a prequel) were created. However, none could replace the breath-taking and tragic tale it was born from. Here, we meet our protagonist Li Xiaoyao; an aspiring martial artist and the lovely Zhao Ling'er, a charismatic Nuwa descendant.
Note that this program does not include any code or data files of the original game, which are proprietary and copyrighted by SoftStar Inc.
Installation
Note: You must obtain the data files from a licensed copy of the game (Windows 98 version) in order to run it.
Install sdlpal.vpk using VitaShell.
Copy all the game data files to ux0:data/sdlpal.
Download the English patch.
Overwrite M.msg, Sss.mkf and Word.dat + copy m_chs.slf and m_eng.slf from the win_files folder of the archive to ux0:data/sdlpal.
Copy the sdlpal.cfg from the release page into ux0:data/sdlpal.

D-Pad - Move, Navigate (combat)
Cross - Interact, Skip dialogues, Select (combat)
Square - Spell, Attack (combat)
Circle - Open menu/Cancel, Cancel (combat)
Triangle - Status
Hold L+Up/Down - Jump to the previous/next page of "Item"
Hold L+Left/RIght - Jump to the first/last "Item" of current page
Hold L+Cross - Defend (combat)
Hold L+Square - Auto mode (COOP)
Hold L+Circle - Leave game (with confirmation), Flee (combat)
Hold L+Triangle - Repeat (combat)
R - Use Item
Hold L+R - Equip Item, Throw Item (combat)
