The Zen Kernel is a collaboration of kernel developers aiming to deliver the optimal Linux kernel for daily use. It features code not found in the mainline kernel, enhancing performance and hardware support for desktop systems. In order to run this you need a way to boot the kernel through [https://wiibrew.org/wiki/IOS IOS] or [https://wiibrew.org/wiki/MINI mini] and a good SD(HC) card. == Features == * Modular kernel (kernel image + modules). * GC/Wii IOS/mini support (from gc-linux project, ported to latest kernel tree). * BFS CPU scheduler. * BFQ I/O scheduler. * Tiny RCU support. * Compcache support. * Ext2/3/4 support. * Reiserfs support. * Reiser4 support. * Btrfs support. * Zen logo included. * And many other features. == Credits == *Thanks to isobel for adding more and more support for the Wii to the Linux kernel. *Thanks to Team Twiizers for mini. *Thanks to Con Kolivas for BFS scheduler. And thanks to everybody that contributed to make this possible. ==External links== * Zen-Kernel - [https://web.archive.org/web/20100406002131/http://downloads.zen-kernel.org/gc-linux/2.6.32/ http://downloads.zen-kernel.org/gc-linux/2.6.32/] (archived) * Zen-Kernel - [https://web.archive.org/web/20091207092309/http://downloads.zen-kernel.org/2.6.32/ http://downloads.zen-kernel.org/2.6.32/] (archived) * WiiBrew - https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Zen-Kernel * GitHub - https://github.com/zen-kernel
