OpenRegion is a homebrew that can bypass region lock on 3DS firmware v4.x and v6.x. It allows you to launch games from any region using the well known DS profile exploit in System Settings. ==Features== * No internet requirement. * More stable compare to regionthree. ==Installation== ===Dependancies=== * [https://gbatemp.net/download/ropmultiloader.32981 ropMultiloader by Cyan] (included) or another working ROP chain installer. * A DS mode flash cart that works with your firmware version. ===Installing=== For Firmware 4.x: * Install ROP using a DS mode flash cart (choose Launcher.dat 4.x when using the ropMultiloader). * Copy the Launcher.dat file to the root of your SD card. For Firmware 6.x: * Install ROP using a DS mode flash cart (choose MSetForBoss.dat 6.x when using the ropMultiloader). * Copy the Launcher.dat file to the root of your SD card. ===Compiling=== If you wish to compile the source yourself then you will need to: * Download [http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/635 ARMIPS]. * Change the ARMIPS_PATH variable in the Makefile accordingly. ==User guide== After putting the game cart in your 3DS goto: System Setting > Other Settings > Profile > Nintendo DS Profile. Then wait a few seconds for your game to launch. ===Limitations=== Requires a DS flash cart for initial set up. Cannot use another mset launcher.dat on 4.x at the same time such as gateway (if there's a ninjhax file manager out there that can rename files, that could get around this).
