KeyCleaner is a PSP application that shows the state of the IdStorage in your PSP, and make corrections to common problems caused by the old downgraders (TA-082/86 only). It can dump keys as well. this app displays the current state of a TA-082/86 model PSP's IdStorage as well as dumps the keys currently in the IdStorage. It can also detect commonly known problems that happen due to old downgraders and can provide some suitable solutions and corrections according to the problem identified. This app can brick, you have been warned. == User guide == === How to use === '''Note:''' This tool can potentially brick your device if used improperly. Please make sure to read the README file for full instructions. Launch KeyCleaner like any homebrew application. On the first screen, it will display the motherboard and region of the IdStorage. You can choose to analyze the keys (Cross) or dump the IdStorage keys (Square). The first time you dump the keys, a keys folder will be created. Any subsequent key dumps will rename the folder and create a new one. You can dump the keys up to 10,000 times or until your memory stick runs out of space. On the Analyze keys screen, you can choose between different motherboard models (TA-079/81, TA-082/86, or TA-085). If you're unsure, press Square to view a guide on identifying your motherboard version. Once you’ve selected and analyzed your board, it will show the status of the keys related to the downgrade and whether they are a problem. If it says, "Congratulations, your keys appear to be fine," that means they are good. If not, it means you either haven’t patched with this program before or that your key5 isn’t patched and could cause problems. In this case, it will give you the option to fix it. === Customize display === The colors of the background and text can be modified using the textcolors.bin file. Edit it in a hex editor to change the background and text colors:
Byte 0: 00 Byte 1: red intensity for background (00 to FF) Byte 2: green intensity for background (00 to FF) Byte 3: blue intensity for background (00 to FF) Byte 4: 00 Byte 5: red intensity for text (00 to FF) Byte 6: green intensity for text (00 to FF) Byte 7: blue intensity for text (00 to FF)
For example, the contents of the default textcolors.bin is:
00 20 60 A0 00 FF FF FF
== Controls == Circle - Exit the program Cross - Analyze the IdStorage keys Square - Dump the IdStorage keys == Screenshots == https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/psphomebrew/images/keycleanerpsp2.png == Changelog == '''v1.4 2007/09/16''' * This update adds key 0x45 to the list of keys it'll fix. It also creates missing keys before fixing them. It now properly identifies and analyzes the PSP Slim. '''v1.3 2007/09/08''' * This update fixes a few things found in v1.2, fixes more individual keys, adds cleaning to TA-079/81 PSPs, allows unpatching key 5, and allows the color scheme to be changed. '''v1.2 2007/09/03''' * Major rewrite, easier than ever to use, no external keys needed, can create keys if needed (for hard-downed PSPs), and the colors are inverted to make it easier on the eyes.
