While there they witnessed the murder of Doctor Robinson by Injun Joe. Injun Hoe framed Muff Potter, the town drunk for the crime and even convinced Muff that he was the murder. In the graveyard, Tom heard Injun Joe talking to himself about how to hid the treasure at number 2 under the cross.
