{{#seo: |title=Vita Homebrew Games (Adventure) - GameBrew |title_mode=append |image=abbeyofcrimevita2.jpg |image_alt=Abbey of Crime }} This is a modern implementation of the classic Spanish game "La abadía del crimen" or "The Abbey of Crime", for Linux, RG350, PS Vita, and Android. Based on the great work of Manuel Abadía for the VIGASOCO project, this new version reduces the computational power necessary for the emulation of the inner behavior of the Amstrad CPC on which the original video game was designed, and replace it with modern programming patterns and data structures. While the original VIGASOCO project needed four threads to emulate video, inputs, sound, and the main game, this new version reduces the need to use threads, making it easy to port to low specs machines like the RG350, the Nintendo 3DS, or Android. ==User guide== This game is an adventure with isometric graphics. A Franciscan friar, William of Occam (William of Baskerville in the book) and his young novice Adso have to discover the perpetrator of a series of murders in a medieval Italian abbey. ===Status=== At this point, the game is stable, can run smoothly, includes new features in the menu system, and supports Forcefeedback, but more work needs to be done testing the game and fixing new bugs. There is a need to redesign some of the classes inherited from the VIGASOCO project. While the latter was designed to create a framework for the design of games, most of these features are beyond this project's scope, making the maintenance of the code more difficult. ==Compatibility== Tested on a PS Vita with a system version 3.73 and the Vita3K emulator. ==External links== * GitHub - https://github.com/Samuel85/Abbey * VitaDB - https://vitadb.rinnegatamante.it/#/info/635 [[Category:PC game ports on Vita]] [[Category:Vita game ports]]
