Ptextviewer v2.00 is a plugin that allows you to read text files stored on the Memory Stick while running any application, game or on XMB.
The plugin is based on the same concept as prior releases, with the difference that game and music can still be operating behind the scene while you are browsing the text files.
Installation
Note from developer:
This plugin depends on cmlibmenu. Place cmlibmenu.prx and the font folder containing the font data in ms0:/seplugins/lib/ (ef0:/seplugins/lib/ for PSP Go).
To install, copy the lib folder, ptextviewer.prx and ptextviewer.ini to ms0:/seplugins/ (ef0:/seplugins/ for PSP Go).
Open vsh.txt and game.txt in the same seplugins folder, then add one of the following line in respective to the device.
For PSP, append this line to the text files
ms0:/seplugins/ptextviewer.prx 1
For PSP Go, add this line instead
ef0:/seplugins/ptextviewer.prx 1
User guide
You can use the plugin to read text files in txt and ini formats. Note that the only text code can be read is Shift-JIS.
Configuration
Settings can be changed by editing ptextviewer.ini.
- BootKey - Button to enable plugin.
- StartPath - Assign folder to open first on the file selection screen (e.g. ms0:/seplugins/).
- PrintMode - Change 0 to 1 to use print mode.
- HideFooter - Hide/display the operation guide at the bottom of the screen while browsing texts.
- BufferSize - The maximum value of the buffer to read the text. If the value is 0, it will be automatically adjusted to the size of the text file (will be easier to freeze however).
- FGColor - Color of the texts.
- BGColor - Background colors.
- SwapHomeAndNote - Switch controls between Home and Note buttons.
- SuspendGame - Suspend/allow game and music to continue operating while reading texts.
You can set the size and position of the text viewer with these four values (enter value from 0 to 480 on the horizontal axis; 0 to 272 on the vertical axis).
- StartX - Horizontal axis starting point.
- StartY - Vertical axis starting point.
- EndX - Horizontal Axis ending point.
- EndY - Vertical axis ending point.

Known issues
The processing (game and music) that operates behind the scenes can slow down your PSP. Please adjust the configuration file (PrintMode/StartX/StartY/EndX/EndY) to minimise the impact on the CPU speed.
