B-Gen: A tribute to Nine Inch Nails is game made by okapako. It uses music from one of the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nailsthem's free album, The Slip.

As a tribute to the rock band Nine Inch Nailsthem, the music is not included purely for aesthetic purposes; it plays a major role in the gameplay.

This is an entry from the PSP Genesis Competition 2011.

User guide

It is recommended to play with sound on (headphones would be best) for the full experience, as it plays a huge part during the game.

B-Gen is a game is about matter, anti-matter and their struggle for universal dominance during the early stages of the universe.

Collision between matter and antimatter results in annihilation; whereas collision between matter and matter, or antimatter collide with antimatter result in coalescence.

Gameplay

The objective is to get the highest score possible. Score is based on how much you've contributed to the matter/anti-matter war, in favor of matter.

Score is positive if you've contributed in favor of matter and negative if you've contributed in favor of antimatter.

  • Matter and matter blobs fuse together (0 score).
  • Matter and Antimatter blobs destroy each other (0 score).
  • Matter and antimatter blobs of same size destroy each other equally at the same speed (0 score).
  • Bigger size matter will destroy smaller size antimatter blobs faster (+ score).
  • Bigger size antimatter will destroy smaller size matter blobs faster (- score).

If your matter blob is destroyed completely, you failed the level.
