Pokémon Radical Red hack is at its core a difficulty hack with additional features; quite similar to Drayano60's enhancement hacks, which provide access to nearly all the Pokemon while also adding relevant buffs.

This hack utilizes the Complete FireRed Upgrade engine and Dynamic Pokemon Expansion built by Skeli789, Ghoulslash, and others. It's responsible for most of the significant features in the hack.

Features

• Moves up to Gen 8, including some of the Isle of Armor DLC moves.
• Raid Battles.
• Even faster turbo speed.
• Much higher difficulty.
  • Similar to Pokemon Clover, there is a soft level cap based on the next boss battle.
  • Johto Gym Leaders as additional side bosses.
  • An additional Team Rocket event right before the 8th gym.
• Author's own curated buffs to a lot of deserving Pokémon, including Megas.
• Brand new abilities (Some taken from Clover, others exclusive to this game).
• A revamped Game Corner, with options to upgrade to Shiny.
• An IV perfecter in Celadon for a very steep price.
• An ability swapper also in Saffron, along with an option to swap to Hidden Ability in exchange for an item.
• Move tutor that teaches Egg moves.
• No need to teach HMs thanks to CFRU .
• Lucky Egg boost increased from 1.5x to 2.5x.
• A Nature Changer in every Pokemon Center.
• Thiefed items go straight to the bag.

You can patch Radical Red using the online patcher provided by Karthik. If you don't see 3.02 on the Radical Red patcher you probably need to clear your browser cache.

Radical Red Showdown Server

RR Showdown Server - Allows you to fight against others in a Radical Red environment. Developed by Pacmanboss256 (RRSH head dev), Karthik, Budget Cyro and Aegide.

Karthik’s Custom Calc - This is a showdown calculator developed by karthik with the updated stats and abilities of all the Radical Red Pokémon

RR Showdown Discord Server Link - This server will serve the purpose of keeping you up to the date with the current tier changes and any updates related to the showdown server. But you will not be able to talk in here, make sure to use #showdown in the RR server for all showdown related talk.

Compatibility

You can open the patched rom with an emulator:

• mGBA or VBA iif you are on Windows.
• openEmu if you are on Mac.
• myBoy if you're on Android.
• gba4IOS if you are on iOS.

It is compatible with real hardware but not tested.

Known issues

Incompatible with PizzaBoy, Eclipse, Twilight Menu.

Using cheats will impact your games in many ways and will lead to bugs that would not have happened otherwise.

• Shortened Meteor Beam Dark Hole animation.
• Added earlier, easier way to get Mega Lucario (talk to Lucario guy in Celadon with a Lucario when you have Lucario follower after you beat Koga).
• Added Munna encounter in Mt Moon at Night (Smoochum->Munna at night), Meditite in Mt Moon->Elgyem, Route 3 Flabebe->Nickit (These were unobtainable on accident in 3.0), 1% encounter to Rookidee in Route 4 (Yanma->Rookidee for earlier potential Corviknight), Rotom has 2% encounter on Floor 7 of Pokemon Tower (replacing Lampent).
• Added New PLA Move Esper Wing (40 BP Psychic Special Move, +1 Priority, 10% Chance to Lower Spec Def so it's boosted by Sheer Force). Braviary-H learns on Evo, Noctowl, Natu/Xatu, Articuno-G, Woobat/Swoobat, Latios/Latias, Lunala learn at Level 1.
• Court Change implemented - Cinderace learns at Level 62, Passimian learns at Level 54, Voltorb, Voltorb-H, Electrode, Electrode-H learn at Level 57 (Banned in Hardcore/Restricted Mode).
• Rufflet evolves to Braviary (or Braviary-H when with Hisuian potential) at Level 36 instead of 44, Lumineon evolves at Level 23 instead of 27
• Flareon HA Guts->Toxic Boost, Defense 60->70 (had 10 less BST than other eeveelutions for some reason so just a minor change/fix, Toxic Boost receives no poison damage in RR so this is a neat small buff).
• Mega Ampharos Hidden Ability Thick Fat->Mold Breaker (Still has Thick Fat as Ability 1).
• Corphish evolves to Crawdaunt at Level 28 instead of 30.
• Gogoat can learn Bullet Seed from TM.
• Basculegion (Both forms) learn Spirit Shackle at Level 54.
• Minun learns Fake Out at level 54.
• Arcanine-H learns Headlong Rush at Level 60.
• Wishiwashi-Sevi can learn Earth Power from Move Tutor.
