R4Menu is a simple R4 firmware look-a-like (GUI) for any flash cart.
Installation
Download and extract file.
Place unzipped contents to card and set it to default firmware (from R4Menu.ini).
A /system/ folder and one theme (downloaded from ndsthemes) are included. Open the configuration file R4Menu.ini to change the settings:
[Settings] gameMenu=/ysmenu.nds mediaMenu=/moonshell2.nds theme=1
Gamemenu is the location of proper firmware, the file to load from the first icon.
Mediamenu is the location of the file to load from the second icon.
Theme is the theme number that r4menu will attempt to load. Cycle through the themes by tapping Select while in the r4menu.
The third icon will reset the ds into gba mode (on DS and DSLite).
Make sure check and edit this file before running r4menu.nds, or may not be able to run menu or media application.
Be sure to put themes in the /system/themes/ folder just like with a real R4. You can set R4Menu.nds to be the default boot menu on many cards, even the original R4DS if preferred.
Note: This application does not run games and you need a ROM loader such as YSmenu for this to work.
Changelog
1.2
- Made 3rd button same as first two, just set gbaMenu=bootgba to boot slot-2 directly.
- Externalized load.bin to avoid GPL issues.
