DSP Dump is a simple 3DS utility application to dump the DSP binary component needed for audio output in many 3DS homebrew applications.

Note: Obsoleted, you can use DSP1 instead (for latest firmware 11.4).

Installation

Available in 3DSX format. Open the application using the Homebrew Launcher, or any other method using *hax 2.0+.

It will dump the needed file onto your SD card (/3ds/dspfirm.cdc), and you're ready. It only needs to be launched once.

FAQ

Q. What is this for?

A lot of homebrews use DSP service for audio but to use it you'll need a DSP firmware dumped from a retail cartridge/eShop title. What this homebrew does is to extract the dspfirm.cdc file to use on 3DS/CIA homebrews (or on NH 2.1 or lower).

You may consider using it if you want to use 3DS/CIA homebrews. Chances are one of them could use DSP audio. Without dumping this file, you will not hear anything.
