Revorb, also known named PSPVorbo, is a file-based Ogg/Vorbis player for the PSP, built as a companion piece to Vorbo (a network-capable, stream-based player). Like Vorbo, it supports a wide range of sample rates, as well as mono and stereo streams. Note that, like Vorbo, Revorb has no support for any other codecs or container formats. Revorb is an Ogg/Vorbis player exclusively. ==Features== *Handles a wide range of sample rates (8000 Hz to 48000 Hz) and high bitrates (tested on bitrates to 256 Kbps). *Has separate recv/decode/audio threads. *Buffers for stable sound even on highly uneven streams. *Sort by artist, album, tracknumber. *Song shuffling. *Recursive file addition. *Ogg file locations are not limited. *Autoloading of last named playlist. *Chordal keyboard. ==Installation== Copy the EBOOT.PBP to its own directory within your memory stick's PSP/GAME directory (e.g. /PSP/GAME/revorb/). Revorb automatically writes a revorb.cfg file to its home directory during operation. This file contains directories recently added from/loaded from, the last file loaded, and so on. ==User guide== ===Ogg tag formats=== Revorb generally expects file tags of the type album=, title=, artist=, and tracknumber=, Fairly standard for Ogg/Vorbis encoding--using G. Smethell's rip script will typically set these, for example, provided you have vorbiscomment present on the system that does the encoding. Revorb will tolerate files without these tags, but searching/sorting/displaying will work best when they are present. Note that Revorb caches the Ogg tag values in its playlists when first adding the files, changing the tags later means they will not be updated in the playlist display. This is done for speed of loading of larger lists. ===Locking keys=== It is recommended, if you use Revorb to play back tracks while moving, with the PSP in your pocket or a carrying bag, that you lock the keys. Slide the power key down into the hold position to do this. ===Limitations=== Playlists may only be saved to Revorb's home directory. Revorb does not provide for multiple logical Vorbis streams within the same file--an option with the Ogg container format (though one rarely used for file-based streams). Revorb has no network support whatsoever, and none is planned. ==Controls== Triangle - Menu system (save/load/search/sort, etc.) Square - Add tracks to the playlist Circle - Remove tracks from the playlist, Cancel Cross - Play tracks, Select Up/Down - Navigate within the playlist L - Skip through by ten items at a time (with the arrow) Left/Right - Move playlist entries down and up within the playlist '''File browser:''' Cross/L/R - Mark/Unmark a track (as part of the selection for copying) Left - Move up a directory in browsing dialogues Right - Enter the selected directory Up/Down - Move through the listed files/directories Many additional features is available only from the menu system. ==Screenshots== https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/psphomebrew/pspvorbo3.png https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/psphomebrew/pspvorbo4.png ==Compatibility== Revorb should run on most unlocked PSPs with Custom Firmware. It was tested on a PSP-2000 running 5.00 M33-4 firmware. ==External links== * SourceForge - https://sourceforge.net/projects/pspvorbo/
