Most menus in the game are translated into English such as the main menu, shop menu (mostly what is in the picture, unsure if it really is named that), characters’ room menu (not sure how much), music list, characters mod and others. Edit mode might be incomplete in its translation. If you are unsure what is translated you might need to unlock some stuff to see it, such as to unlock all content for the shop you need to play the game mode with a decent score or you can use a cheat from cwcheat but the rooms part of the shop still need to be unlocked.
It is based on the 2.8a translation made by Einishi, bugs have been fixed and more things translated.
 
In this translated patch as of version 2.8a there are several early intro text message boxes in-game after the title screen that are mostly in Japanese. Just bypass them then you should be able to see the game menus in English. Note that the tutorial phase is not translated, Nor are the in-game song lyrics text translated either.
 
Unfortunately the game control hints at the bottom bar in the menus are still in Japanese characters only. In most cases the Circle button is actually the means to go to the next menu while the Cross button is to exit to a higher level menu or escape from or cancel the popup box asking to exit.

  • Hi, here is the v2.5 translation patch, this time I managed much errors as there are no abbreviations in the names of songs or objects or modules.
  • There are some new translations, but I'll translate more of the edit mode for version 3.0 patch.
  • Tested and working patches, use update patch.ppf over v2.0.
  • eboot patched only and patch.ppf on a clean eboot only.

v2.0 2010/08/03

  • I was thinking about release just a weekly release in order to not complicate to people who upload pre-patched isos and to contain more updates.
  • So v2.0 will be the last release of this week.
  • Here's my version 2 translation patch, this time there isn't too much new but rather an improvement of previous translations, some bugs fixed and added the translation of the titles and part of the Edit Mode, but the latter has not been reviewed in depth.

v1.5 2010/08/02

  • Hi i just uploaded a new version of my translation patch which fixes a small bug when displaying the number of objects that had of some type, in addition to being able to install on an untouched/unfixed image of the game, so just use that version but I think that it works well for other versions.
  • Clarification: The previous patch didn't work with untouched versions because of the EBOOT.BIN had not been decrypted by doing the patch completely imcompatible Sorry.
  • But now everything you need is in the file to download with an updated installation guide.
